What primary services do you offer?
We offer first-class beverage services from one of our bar carts or mobile bar for any size gathering.
Do you offer different bartending/Barista packages?
Yes, we customize each package to fit the client’s event. We also offer standard packages that fit most needs.
What are the rates of your services?
All of our services and packages are customized. We are happy to provide you with a quote with different options.
Do you provide the alcohol?
We work with premier distributors to give our client’s the best options and price. highlands sips + events is authorized in the state of Kansas to sell by the glass beer, wine, or malt beverages for cash bars. Private events held in the state of Missouri and Kansas require the clients to purchase their own alcohol.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, we hold a Liquor License in the state of Kansas and have General and Liquor Liability Insurance. It is the client’s responsibility to obtain an event permit or any required licenses for their private gathering.
Can you provide a cash bar?
Yes, we can provide a cash bar in the state of Kansas. In Missouri, all alcohol must be purchased by the client.
How far will you travel?
highlands sips + events is located in the heart of Kansas City serving both Kansas and Missouri. Currently, we are licensed to sell by the glass in the state of Kansas but can provide bartending and beverage services in both Kansas and Missouri. If you are looking for services outside of the Kansas City Metro Area, advanced booking and additional travel fees will apply up to a 200 mile radius.
Do you offer non-alcoholic packages?
Yes, we offer premium espresso and coffee bars along with personalized mocktails, soda, tea, and infused water options.
What is required to rent the Shetland?
An outdoor or indoor space that can accommodate The Shetland. Her dimensions are 7’6″ tall, 6′ wide, 14’5″ in total length.
Do you have a rainout policy?
Since all of our events are booked well in advance, there is not an option to change dates. However, an event tent over The Shetland would work best to keep the festivities going. We are happy to work with you on the sizing of the tent.
Who are your employees?
All of our bartenders, servers, and baristas are sips certified and are required to complete continuing education each year in customer service and hospitality. All of the faces behind highlands sips + events are veterans in the service industry.
What deposit is required and can I canceL?
A deposit of 50% is due at the time of booking and the remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your event date. If you cancel prior to 60 days of your event half of your deposit will be refunded. Cancellation within 60 days of an event scheduled for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, will not receive a refund. Monday through Thursday reservations will receive a refund of 50% of the deposit if cancelled within two weeks of the event date.
are there any special requirements for the mobile bar?
We do require an electrical outlet for your private event. If needed, we can add a generator to your package. The Shetland also requires a flat surface away from utility lines.
